Kwibuka 2020. As Rwanda commemorates the 26th anniversary of the genocide against the Tutsi in April 1994 we pause to remember the tragic event and its effect on the country and people.
Twenty-six years later, Rwanda has rebuilt itself from the ashes and is a safe and thriving country. Travelers visit from all over the world.
As the President of Rwanda said speaking at the Commemoration: “We Rwandans have granted ourselves a new beginning. We exist in a state of permanent commemoration, every day, in all that we do.”
